Office of the Assistant Minister for Small Business Administration

.Duties and Responsibilities

 
 
Assistant Minister shall serve as the assistant to the Deputy Minister and as the Technical Officer with oversight responsibility for all divisions in the Bureau.  The duties and responsibilities of the Office of the Assistant Minister are as follows:
 
 
I. Administers and supervises the day-day activities and operations of divisions in the Bureau of Small Business Administration;
 
II. Ensures preparation of division work plan and action agendas, set and oversee work priorities for divisions;
 
III. Leads preparation of periodic performance reports for each division and special project report to facilitate the preparation of semi-annual Performance Scorecard Report;
 
IV. Leads the monthly Technical Committee meeting comprising of Procurement Directors from all gov’t ministries/agencies and report to the Deputy Minister regularly on activities in terms of compliance with 25%  “set aside” procurement requirement for all Liberian-owned MSMEs;
 
V. Coordinates preparation of Bureau of SBA annual budget with heads of divisions for inclusion in MoCI annual budget; 
 
VI. Represents the Deputy Minister at meetings/events and perform advocacy and public and media relations roles, as my be required;
 
VII. Supports the Deputy Minister in the implementation of the mandate of the Bureau;
 
VIII. Ensures the delivery of an active and comprehensive outreach and education program;
 
IX. Carries out other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Deputy Minister
