Detention of Cement Dealers

The New Kru Town Magisterial Court has ordered the detention of seven (7) cement dealers at the Monrovia Central Prison.

The Court ordered was based on a Law Suit filed by Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

According to the Ministry of Commerce release, a writ of arrest issued by the court, Toe Kamara, Prince Ezekieh, William Clay, Saydee Junior, Adam Flomo, Samuel Jeff and Tete Manabo allegedly took part in the flogging of Commerce Inspector-General Madam Macaetoh P. Wreh along with four (4) Inspectors Adolphus Winn, Winston Feekpeh, Joseph Tamba and David Brown and Six (6) Police Officers last week.

The Seven (7) including the rank leader Ms. Tete Manabo was charged for physical obstruction of Government Function and will appear in court on Thursday May 7, 2009.


The Seven (7) Cement Dealers who were conveyed to the court by Police Officers are currently detained pending trial.
