Price Tagging of Commodities
Wednesday, 5th August 2009

PRESS RELEASE
AUGUST 3, 2009

The Ministry of Commerce & Industry has observed that operators of commercial houses including used cars dealers and spare parts have refused to Price-Tag their goods being sold on the Liberian market, despite several warnings.

The Ministry is therefore cautioning operators of all business entities in the Country to Price-Tag their commodities in Liberian Dollars or United States Dollars in line with the daily prevailing exchanged rate.

Failure on the part of any business house, used cars dealers and spare parts to comply with the Ministry’s directive will result to the imposition of appropriate fines according to the Commercial Laws of Liberia.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry will shortly commerce a vigorous inspection of all business establishments in the Country to ensure full compliance.
