Monrovia, Liberia – In close coordination with the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC), the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on Tuesday released a price circular that sets new ceiling prices for petroleum products in both the wholesale and retail sectors.
The circular, effective immediately, aims to protect Liberian consumers and businesses from volatile global price swings while ensuring a steady supply of fuel nationwide.
The Ministry of Commerce & Industry has begun an acquaintance tour of three counties as part of constructive efforts to have a better picture of operational challenges and other matters affecting the work of its inspectors in rural Liberia. The four-day tour officially kicked off on February 25, and is expected to be concluded on the 28, 2026. The three Counties are Margibi, Bong, and Nimba.
The Commerce Today Monthly Critical Commodities Bulletin is a product of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry developed to inform the public on key commodities inventory and pricing on a monthly basis. The data reported is gathered based on assessment of import documents which include commercial invoice, assessment notice, single administrative document, clean report of findings, and targeted market sample surveys.
The Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoCI) is leaving no stone unturned in addressing trade-related issues across Liberia. With support from the African Development Bank, the Government of Liberia—through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry—strengthened the Small Business Administration’s capacity to oversee and support the Youth Entrepreneurship and Investment Bank after a five-day training in Accra, Ghana (December 15–20, 2025).
