The Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoCI) is leaving no stone unturned in addressing trade-related issues across Liberia. The Ministry’s efforts include collaborating with local and international development partners to galvanize the needed resources to support local businesses; including women and youth-led enterprises.
With support from the African Development Bank, the Government of Liberia—through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry—strengthened the Small Business Administration’s capacity to oversee and support the Youth Entrepreneurship and Investment Bank after a five-day training in Accra, Ghana (December 15–20, 2025).
The Liberia Business Registry (LBR), in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoCI) wishes to inform the public, mainly the business community that it will commence the issuance of new Business Registration Certificates effective Monday, February 2, 2026.
The Commerce Today Monthly Critical Commodities Bulletin is a product of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, developed to inform the public on key commodities inventory and pricing on a monthly basis. The data reported is gathered based on an assessment of import documents, which include commercial invoices, assessment notices, single administrative documents, clean report of findings, and targeted market sample surveys.
December 15, 2025 – In a ceremony that blended diplomatic significance with national purpose, the Government of Liberia today formally received a substantial 3,600-metric-ton (72,000 bags) of rice donation from the People's Republic of China.
