Key Services

The Administration Department serves as the backbone of the Liberia Standards Authority (LiSA), ensuring the institution's seamless daily operations. Our team manages staff welfare, office administration, procurement, logistics, and the maintenance of all LiSA facilities and assets.

We support every department by providing the essential resources needed to carry out their tasks, whether personnel coordination, transportation, supplies, or proper documentation. We also ensure that all administrative processes comply with national regulations and LiSA’s internal policies.

Our goal is to maintain a professional, well-organized, and efficient work environment that enables staff to perform at their best. Testing Department

LiSA provides chemical and microbiological testing for a wide range of food and non-food products, including rice, water, gari, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, juices, detergents, alcohol, palm oil, and vegetable oils. Our laboratories ensure product safety, quality, and compliance with national and international standards.

Inspection & Certification
We deliver comprehensive conformity assessment services, including product certification (ISO/IEC 17065), personnel certification (ISO/IEC 17024), and management systems certification to key standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and HACCP, ensuring compliance, competence, and quality across sectors.

Standards & Quality
We develop, adopt, and harmonize national standards across all sectors in Liberia, ensuring alignment with regional and international best practices. Working through Technical Committees and the Technical Management Committee, we engage stakeholders, oversee standardization processes, and publish standards that are readily accessible to industries, businesses, regulators, and consumers through the National Standards Desk.

Metrology
The Metrology Department ensures accurate and traceable measurements across Liberia. It maintains national measurement standards, provides calibration and verification services, conducts legal metrology inspections, and offers technical support and guidance. The department also promotes awareness and capacity-building to uphold reliable and internationally recognized measurement practices.
