Also speaking, Deputy Commerce & Industry Minister for Trade, Wilmot A. Reeves, called for improved intra-African trade, particularly within the West African Sub-region. Deputy Minister Reeves expressed the hope for better and improved dividends once Africans promote intra-trade rather than wanting to trade beyond the borders of the continent.
For his part, Deputy Commerce & Industry Minister for Administration, Tarnue Jeke, spoke about the importance of increased trade between Liberia and the three teams (Pakistani and Malian diplomats and the Moroccan business delegation). In their respective statements, the Pakistani Ambassador accredited near Monrovia, Mahmood Akhtar Mahmood, and his Malian counterpart, Mamadou Keita, pledged their respective countries’ commitment to partnering with Liberia through the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
Speaking earlier, Yanja EL Khattat, President of the Conseil Regional of Dakhla Oued Eddahab, said they were happy to be in Liberia as part of the Liberia-Morocco Investment Forum’s efforts to cement their collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
